17-year-old boy killed in shooting in South Side Billings

Billings, Montana – The third gunshot that resulted in a homicide in less than a week prompted the Billings Police Department (BPD) to respond.
BPD responded to a reported gunfire at around 8 PM between the 500 block of S 28th and S 29th.
Officers found a male victim, 17, who had been shot many times when they got on the site. Other victims had reportedly fled the scene.
After being taken to a nearby hospital, the person was eventually declared dead.
After conducting a search, BPD and YSCO officers found and apprehended two individuals.
The scene is being taken over by the BPD Investigations Division.
