$32 million will be used to build and restore homes around Montana

Billings, Montana – The building of five sites throughout the state will receive over $32 million in federal housing credits, according to the Montana Department of Commerce.
There will be 150 new or renovated homes overall, including 23 new senior-friendly affordable homes in Hamilton and sustainable homes in Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, and Helena. Due to a shortage of housing credits, the Board of Housing is only able to provide funding to four or five projects at a time each year.
Bozeman will receive $6,350,000 for 23 new homes on 7th Avenue on Aspen Street, while Billings will receive $6,500,00 for the construction of 32 new affordable homes at Mitchell Court.
Six million dollars will be given to Great Falls to renovate sixty apartments at Elmore Roberts Apartments, and six million dollars will be given to Twin Creek Apartments in Helena to construct twenty new residences.
