Billings, Montana – Information on C&0 24-08533, a bomb threat at Skyview High School, situated at 1775 High Sierra Blvd., is the subject of this release.

The FBI tipped up the Billings Police Department that a bomb threat had been detected involving Skyview High School on the evening of February 7, 2024. It was determined by the police and the FBI that the threat originated from a current student’s Snapchat account at the school. After locating the student, it was promptly ascertained that they had nothing to do with the threat that was sent using their account.

Officers found a second kid after conducting more investigation, who acknowledged stealing the other student’s phone and making a joke out of the threat on their Snapchat account. The fifteen-year-old male student from the area has been accused of disorderly conduct, which includes disseminating a false report or warning of an imminent explosion.

As of right now, neither the neighborhood nor the school are in danger, and BPD is still cooperating with the institution.

The FBI and Billings School District 2 are two organizations that the BPD would like to thank for their help.
