The Billings Underpass will reopen the following month

Billings, Montana – The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) estimates that work on the 6th Street West underpass will be finished by the end of the following month.
Along with paving the intersection’s pavement, MDT and Riverside Contracting have been working on the underpass and preparing it for new stormwater pump drains and traffic signals.
They want to be able to allow eastbound, westbound, and southbound traffic on the state road that is now under development.
The underpass will stay closed into next week until the resurfacing work between Montana and Central Avenue is finished.
Thus, until this anticipated reopening date in late November, if you utilize the underpass for your daily commute, you will still need to find other routes.
