Bozeman, Montana — Following two allegations of sexual assault, a fraternity at Montana State University was placed on probation.

On Friday, September 22, 2023, two students reported that they had been sexually assaulted in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity House near campus at Grant and Fifth Avenue.

Except for the location, the two events don’t seem connected and don’t seem to involve the same people, according to an MSU press statement.

Investigators from the university tell us there isn’t a criminal inquiry.

However, while MSU personnel investigate any policy or student code of conduct infractions, the fraternity has been placed on conduct probation and alcohol-free status.
