Man in Helena dies after being struck by a car

Helena, Montana – On Monday, October 16, 2023, in Lewis & Clark County, a man was struck by a car and died.
Leo Dutton, Lewis & Clark County Sheriff/Coroner, reported that it occurred at approximately 12:26 a.m.
In Helena, deputies were called to an incident on North Montana Avenue close to Dave’s EZ Stop.
Walking along North Montana Avenue, Nathaniel Carlson, 37, was struck by an object.
Dutton claims that Carlson frequently strolled to and from his Sierra Road residence.
Following the incident, the car’s driver stayed on the site and dialed 911.
Troops from the Montana Highway Patrol stated that there were no signs of drunk driving, and the driver gave his or her permission to draw blood.
Dutton said, “Foul play is not suspected at this time. Our condolences to the family of Mr. Carlson.”
