Man murdered while crossing railroad tracks in Billings

Billings, Montana – Early on Tuesday, a man was killed while crossing the tracks in the heart of Billings when he was struck by a train.
According to Billings police, the incident took place just after 5 a.m. close to 29th Street. The man was pronounced dead there and then.
Police posted on social media that it was unclear when the route at 29th Street will reopen because it was closed.
Police did not say which street—North 29th Street, South 29th Street, or both—was shut.
No other details were disclosed.
