Montana State University Billings’ Atomic Circus Show date announced

Billings, Montana — The date for this year’s public Atomic Circus shows at Montana State University Billings is Saturday, April 29, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in Petro Theatre on the University campus. This free family event involves incredible science experiments, interpretative dancers, and the Atomic Circus band. These public performances are made available by a collaboration between MSU Billings and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.
The Atomic Circus Experience also invites 5th graders from the Yellowstone County region, teaching them about various STEM jobs and encouraging them to pursue higher education. ACE facilitates this by providing a multi-tiered experience aimed at:
1) Improving the relevance and integration of STEM subjects
2) Increasing their positive attitudes toward higher education
3) Fostering a sense of community and support for higher education through a series of engaging STEM presentations and exposure to the INBRE Research Bus.
Students will participate in workshops designed to reinforce the content knowledge and skills highlighted in the Atomic Circus Show, as well as rotate through stations staffed by faculty from fields such as biology, allied health, and art, all of whom will demonstrate how their disciplines use STEM concepts and skills.
