Person struck by a truck dies at the scene in Billings

Billings, Montana – A pedestrian died on Thursday night after being struck by truck while crossing the street in Billings.
At 8:48 p.m., a westbound truck struck a pedestrian while crossing Central Avenue at the intersection of Santa Fe Drive, according to Billings police. The road was closed due to the accident.
According to Billings Police Sgt. Clyde Reid, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and the truck fled but was captured shortly after.
The crash is under investigation.
