Train kills a person near Laurel

Laurel, Montana – After a person was struck and killed by a train Tuesday morning just east of the Laurel train yard, the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Rail Link, and BNFS officials are conducting an investigation.
The event happened just next to the railroad bridge over the tracks not far from the East Laurel exit.
There will be a delay in train service while the accident is investigated. Since the collision is off all major roads, there are no delays for car traffic.
There was no immediate information available, and the investigation is still ongoing.
