Tuesday may see heavy snow

Billings, Montana — Before a much bigger weather system rolls into the area on Monday, a few isolated snow showers will mostly affect the mountains on Sunday.
On Monday, the temperature will stay the same while a mix of rain and snow develops throughout the day.
With moisture from the Pacific pouring in from the West and a much colder airmass sliding south into Montana late on Monday, there will be numerous bouts of snowfall across the region from Monday night through Wednesday night.
Each snowfall has the ability to cover the entire time period with several inches of snow.
Early on Tuesday, the temperature will start to drop, and it will keep doing so through early on Friday.
Low temperatures are anticipated to drop into the teens below zero by both Thursday morning and Friday early when precipitation stops and the skies start to clear late Wednesday night. Highs during the day will start to rise again on Friday and more so on Saturday.
