Woman charged after intentionally running over a pedestrian

Polson, Montana – Authorities believe a female purposely ran over another woman near Polson on Halloween, and she is now facing a deliberate homicide charges.
911 dispatchers received a report of a car vs. pedestrian accident on Huckleberry Lane southeast of Polson just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, according to Lake County Sheriff Don Bell.
According to Sheriff Bell, the vehicle’s driver, Sharon Whitworth, 56, of Polson, intentionally ran over and killed Tonya Charles, 63, also of Polson.
On a charge of intentional murder, Whitworth remains in the Lake County Detention Center.
