The Wild Satellite Brawl Watch Parties reunite fans

Missoula, Montana – Today, Bozeman will host the 121st Brawl of the Wild.

The present players, students, staff, and instructors from both schools are essential to make this game possible, but former students from both schools have had a significant impact on how the game is now.

Since over 25 years ago, Griz and Cat fans have come together at Brawl of the Wild Satellite Watch Parties, where they all watch the big game together.

“I think the rivalry certainly softens once you’re outside of the state of Montana, and I know that it’s alive and well at these watch parties. But really, it’s Montanans getting together, or people with some deep tie to the state of Montana to MSU to UM, getting together to support each other and watch the game and have a good time.” – UM Alumni Engagement coordinator Roni Hecker.

A little under 100 facilitated watch parties have been registered for this year’s game, according to the University of Montana.

Both UM and MSU provide attendees with swag in advance so alumni may support Montana at the gatherings.

The Montana Television Network will broadcast the 121st Brawl of the Wild, which begins at 12 p.m. today.
