Firefighters from Missoula save a deer from the Clark Fork River

Missoula, Montana – On Friday morning, the City of Missoula Fire Department responded to an unusual call.
Around 7:30 in the morning, firefighters were summoned to assist a doe and her fawn who had slipped through the ice in front of the Doubletree Hotel.
Both animals were successfully rescued by crews using rope and ice water rescue techniques.
The fire department thanked the City of Missoula Police Department “for their assistance and for capturing this awesome rescue!” a social media post states.
