Billings, Montana – On Tuesday, September 19, Montana State University Billings will host its annual college and job expo.

According to a press release from MSU Billings, the goal of the Montana Post Secondary Educational Opportunity Council Billings College Fair (MPSEOC) is to promote higher education and post-secondary possibilities both inside and outside of Montana to students, parents, and guidance counselors.

The MPSEOC gives students the opportunity to speak with 100 different college representatives from institutions located throughout the northwest area to explore their options for higher education and learn more about financial assistance and scholarships.

An estimated 2,500 students from nearby high schools attend the fair in Billings, according to MSU Billings, making it one of the busiest.

“This event allows students to explore a variety of post-secondary options for local students, from military training and trade schools to two-year and four-year colleges,” Julie Pettit-Booth, executive director of New Student Services said in MSU’s release. “Attendees can explore all their options for post-secondary education and have their questions answered in one place.”

Participants can explore several career opportunities with local businesses, specialist training programs, and local agencies in addition to touring college options.

The MPSEOC will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Alterowitz Gym of the Physical Education Building, and the Career Exploration segment will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. within the Student Union Building.

Parking will be available at the Cisel Parking lot as well as the parking structure at 27th Street and Poly Drive.
