Billings police investigating a stabbing incident that left one woman injured

Billings, Montana – Police in Billings are still seeking for a suspect in a stabbing incident that occurred near a downtown hotel over the weekend.

Officers arrived to 3314 1st Avenue North at 5:46 a.m. on Sunday morning for a stabbing near the Bourbon Street Hotel Tower III in downtown Billings, according to a tweet on the @BillingsPD Twitter account.

According to the report, officials located a 42-year-old woman who had been stabbed, however her injuries were “non-life threatening.” She was sent to a hospital in Billings for treatment.

According to Sgt. Kramer of the Billings Police Department, the suspect who stabbed the woman is “unknown at this time,” but an investigation is ongoing, and there is no “perceived threat to the public at this time.”

At the time of publication, no more information regarding the event was available.
