Black bear that got into a home in Carbon County is killed

Carbon County, Montana – After shooting and killing a black bear that had entered their Luther home, a Carbon County couple is now cleaning the place up.
According to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP), Seeley Oblander and her fiancé Tom Bolkcom claimed they were awakened at three in the morning on Thursday by their dog’s barking.
When they went downstairs, a black bear was in their living room.
According to the pair, when the bear wouldn’t go, Bolkcom shot it with a gun before chasing it around the house until it passed out.
It was later discovered that the bear had entered the house through a window.
The FWP stated that the couple had every right to kill the bear and added that they had received reports of bears rummaging through trash and consuming dog food at numerous other neighboring properties.
