Family seeks justice after man sucker punched in Butte bar

Butte, Montana – The family of an Anaconda man who was recently the victim of a vicious sucker punch attack at an Uptown Butte Bar said they want justice to be served in this senseless attack.
When a man approached from behind and struck Connor Sturm twice in the face, he was knocked to the ground while standing.
“You don’t plain cheap shot somebody when they’re totally defenseless. It was intentional, it was premeditated and the severity of my son’s injuries, it’s violence,” said the victim’s father, Michael Martelli.
Sturm received medical attention at the hospital for an upper jaw fracture as well as several fractured and missing teeth. Almost a week after the attack, the suspect still wasn’t charged and had left the pub.
“Anyone that knows my son Connor Sturm, he’s the most loving, caring, down-to-earth person there is,” said Martelli.
The event is being investigated thoroughly, according to Butte police, and charges will be decided upon after all relevant data has been gathered.
The family is hoping that the culprit comes forward to the authorities.
“It breaks my heart, it absolutely breaks my heart that somebody could do that to anybody. You could’ve killed my son and that won’t ever be forgiven,” said the victim’s mother Amy Sturm.
