BELGRADE — Multiple agencies responded to a fire at a car wash in Belgrade early Sunday morning.

Firefighters received the call around 3:30 a.m. Sunday for a fire at the Rocky Mountain Car Wash off Jackrabbit Lane, just south of I-90 in Belgrade.

Central Valley Fire District was still at the scene as of 10 a.m. monitoring for hot spots.

Taylor Webb, chief of operations for Rocky Mountain Car Wash, said in a post on the KBZK Facebook page, “Our family is devastated by this loss. We are a family owned and operated business that has been building/operating car washes for 20 years.”

Webb said the project for the as-yet-unopened car wash was on schedule to open in four to six weeks.

“The firefighters did a fantastic job and law enforcement is currently investigating this fire,” he said on Facebook. “If I know one thing about this project and our family – it is that we will get this rebuilt and provide a great service to this awesome community. We are so thankful for our contractors that have put so much work into this project and can’t thank them enough for getting this far. WE WILL REBUILD.”

No further information about the cause or extent of the damage was available, and no injuries have been reported at this time. Pictures from the scene show extensive damage to the car wash.

We will update you as we get more information.
