For the Fourth of July holiday, the City of Billings is closing public spaces at Rims, Zimmerman, and Phipps Park

Billings, Montana – The Billings Fire Department will once again close the Rims, Zimmerman Park, and Phipps Park during the upcoming Fourth of July vacation.
From Tuesday, July 4 at 5 AM through Wednesday, July 5 at dawn, there will be closures. These include the public lands that run along the Rims beginning at Main Street in the Heights and continuing up to and including Zimmerman Park on the south side of Highway 3.
These locations are off-limits to vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians during this time.
According to a press statement from the city of Billings, aggressive patrols will be made along the closed areas by the Billings Police Department, Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Highway Patrol, Billings Logan International Airport Police, and Billings Fire Department.
