In Billings, a class called Money, Mommy & Me teaches families how to handle their finances

Billings, Montana – Parents had the chance to discover several strategies for assisting their kids in developing a positive connection with money on Saturday in the Magic City.
Five Rings Financial, an insurance marketing firm dedicated to creating a community of parents who want to give their kids a financially secure environment, has been hosting Money, Mommy & Me events for the past five years.
The sooner youngsters learn to develop a positive relationship with money as adults, according to one of the Five Rings Financial advisors, the better off they will be in the long run.
“Money, Mommy & Me is for moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and anyone who has young people in their lives. We teach things like savings, and hard work and, like working for your money and we kind of go through different age groups and how you can help each age group,” added Kristen Opliger.
Ashley Flaherty, a mother of three who has only recently begun attending the event, said that having the knowledge on how to instill financial responsibility in her daughters has been quite helpful.
“It really changed how I view money, especially teaching my girls. I had a rocky start learning about money. So, it has really helped me to be able to kind of teach them how to be good with money,” emphasized Flaherty.
Every month on the first Saturday at 11 a.m., the event is held. Wine, Women & Wellness is another forthcoming event that will take place on March 14 at 6 p.m.
