Increase in visitors in Montana’s state parks

Billings, Montana – State parks in the Billings area and across Montana have seen an increase in visitors in 2021.

393,175 people visited Montana State Parks in the first quarter of 2021. That’s an increase of 78% over 2019 and 20.2% increase over 2020.

Pictograph Cave State Park recorded around 4,700 visitors since reopening in mid-April.

With nearly 30,000 visitors this year, Lake Elmo State park is ranked on the fifth place of most visited state parks in Montana.
