Great Falls, Montana – The Great Falls International Airport dining hall will play host to the Montana Ag-Tech Innovation and Investment Summit on January 24.

It’s a full-day program that provides information about advancing Montana agriculture in the future.

“We’re always trying to push Montana agriculture forward,” said Logan Kruse, Communications Director for the Montana Department of Agriculture.

Producers experience a unique set of daily stressors compared to everyone else.

“…It’s sunup to sundown… having them sit down and look at email and trying to like look into grants or looking to money in order to push their personal business forward or their idea is it’s something that comes after what they do on a day to day.”

Speakers at the Ag-Tech Innovation and Investment Summit provide advice on how to steer an agricultural enterprise toward the technological future.

However, that isn’t the day’s high point. “Pitch Arena” will launch at 3:30.

Selected participants in Pitch Arena will develop a 60-second elevator pitch to present to potential investors in the style of Shark Tank.

Large wallets are eager to invest in the newest and greatest.

It enables producers to introduce innovations and see them through to completion.

The “Shark Tank” is not open to just anyone.

The Montana Department of Agriculture chooses the participants, and they receive coaching to help them make the best case to investors.

The deadline for applications has been moved up to January 13, 2023. If your pitch is deserving, follow the instructions below to apply.

The first, second, and third-place winners from the competition will each receive a portion of $50,000 for the top three concepts they pitch to investors.

That excludes any agreement reached with the consultants:

• 1st Place – $25,000
• 2nd Place – $15,000
• 3rd Place – $10,000

“…It’ll be it’ll be a great way to get out an idea and it will also be a great way to connect and push that idea forward with hopefully some money behind it,” shared Kruse.
