Billings, Montana – Do you know a handicapped veteran in Montana who enjoys being outside and engaging in outdoor activities?

Montana friends at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) announced a fantastic opportunity for receiving a free track chair that has been donated to a veteran in the Big Sky region.
The VFW’s State Commander for 2022–2023 is Jeff Schepp. He wrote me the following note:”The Department of Montana VFW was approached by the Veterans Coalition of Northwest Montana and they have a tracked wheel chair that they want to donate to disabled Veteran (preferably a amputee) also would be set up for Archery or Rifle along with adapting the vehicle to move the chair. if you know someone that could use it please give them my information.”

The contact number for Jeff’s VFW office in Montana is 406-324-3992.

Please get in touch with them and the VFW if you know of anyone in Montana who could benefit from this. Anyone who has ever sustained an injury will tell you how painful it may be to be unable to perform a task you have always been able to do. I am aware of people who have stopped going on long or remote hunting expeditions because of back discomfort or other problems. How are you going to transport the elk out, even if you can hike in?

Giving a soldier who is paralyzed something like this can completely alter their life.
