Man hospitalized after being shot in car

Billings, Montana – A Billings man is hospitalized after being shot in his car in the 600 block of Lake Elmo around 7:45 a.m. on Monday.
Witnesses say the victim’s car crashed into a ditch at the corner of Lake Elmo and Biltmore Way after they heard a single gunshot.
According to report, the victim walked south towards Main Street before getting treatment from EMS. The 26-year-old man was shot in the hand and the injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
Officers said a vehicle with dark color fled the scene after the shooting.
No additional information was released at this time.
