Manuel Lisa Fishing Access Site’s partial closure lifted

Billings, Montana – The Manuel Lisa Fishing Access Site (FAS) on the Bighorn River no longer has a partial closure.
The site is once more open to motorized traffic, however the boat ramp is still closed owing to damage from the flooding.
The boat ramp will be repaired as soon as feasible by FWP maintenance personnel.
On June 26, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks temporarily banned motorized access at General Custer FAS because to high river flows and flooding conditions.
Due to the flood situation, Grant Marsh and Arapooish FASes on the Bighorn River are remain partially closed.
At these locations, walk-in access is still permitted, but motorized access is currently not authorized.
When the weather permits, these locations will be made accessible by motor vehicle once more.
Visit FWP for a complete list of the current restrictions and site closures.
