Meadowlark Elementary recognizes “One Class at a Time” teacher

Billings, Montana – Q2, “One Class at a Time” is a collaboration between Western Security Bank, City Brew Coffee, and the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools. This initiative honors educators who go above and above for their students.
Meet Shannon George, a 4th-grade instructor at Meadowlark Elementary with over 20 years of expertise. Shannon has always worked with young kids but desired to involve them more “hands-on” in the learning process.
“It’s been a joy. I love working with kids,” said Mrs. George.”Being in the classroom, making a difference every day, seeing their bright faces.”
New obstacles arise every day, but she treasures those times.
“Not every day is rainbows and butterflies, so how can we make a growth mindset every day and it’s not a drag every day coming to school. That it’s a fun environment.”
Mrs. George received a $500 award from the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools, which is proudly sponsored by Western Security Bank, as well as a $150 gift card from City Brew Coffee as recognition for her expertise. Congratulations!
