Montana COVID-19 case numbers update – July 22

HELENA — Montana state health officials reported 104 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday morning, according to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map.
An additional two deaths are also being reported. The state death toll now stands at 42. The latest deaths are being reported in Sweet Grass and Yellowstone counties.
The Sweet Grass County Health Department reports a man in his 80s who had been hospitalized “passed away with complications due to COVID-19.”
A man in his 60s passed away in Yellowstone County.
The Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map shows the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Treasure State is now at 2,813.
Wednesday’s data shows the total number of cases in the state now stands at 2,853.
The state tracking map is reporting 2,813 cases due in part to differences in reporting by county health departments which often receive information on confirmed COVID-19 cases before state officials.
