Mother pleads not guilty in death of her baby in Butte

BUTTE — Audria Nickerson, formerly of Butte, pleaded not guilty Thursday morning to negligent homicide in Butte District Court.
She’s accused of falling asleep on her baby while sitting in a car parked near the Butte police department last September.
She’s alleged to have been under the influence of methamphetamine at the time. Nickerson remains jailed in Butte on $200,000 bond.
