Nearly $3 million raised in donations by Billings Clinic Classic

Billings, Montana – Despite the fact that the Billings Clinic Classic Downtown Street Party was canceled due to Covid-19 and its fast spread throughout the city, some winners remain.
The 2021 Billings Clinic Classic Raffle Extravaganza’s eight lucky winners were revealed Saturday afternoon, and the clinic’s foundation celebrated another huge victory a few hours later.
The McComish family will donate $1.5 million, bringing the total amount to $2.8 million for this year’s event.
Each winner was chosen from a big raffle bag outside the hospital by Classic Chair Frank Cross and his wife Kathy.
A platinum vehicle detail, cash, and even a 14-karat rose gold diamond bangle bracelet with a total weight of 1.7 carats were among the prizes offered in the raffle.
The actual winners of the Billings Clinic Classic in 2021 will be the region’s youngest patients, who will shortly benefit from a new neo-natal intensive care unit at Billings Clinic.
The funds from this year’s Classic will go toward a $3.5 million capital campaign to renovate the now 22-year-old site.
The project will expand the present NICU’s size from 4,325 square feet to almost 14,000 square feet, providing more natural light, required space, and a place for parents to stay with their baby.
The new NICU is expected to be complete by spring of 2022.
