Negligent homicide charges for Billings man after Rims shooting

Billings, Montana – On Wednesday, a 19-year-old man of Billings was charged with negligent homicide in Yellowstone County District Court for a shooting that happened on the Rims last January.
The court ordered Kobe Dillian Carr not to contact the family of the victim while the case is pending as he pleaded not guilty at arraignment and was released without bond.
The shooting occurred in a parked car near 280 Southview Drive on the Rims on January 21st. Both Carr and Kane James Streitz were together in the vehicle and a semiautomatic handgun accidentally fired while Carr was trying to disassemble it.
Streitz was struck in the head and died at a local hospital later.
