Owner of a Billings art studio provides budding painters painting lessons

Billings, Montana – A creative person is commemorating her first year of owning and running her own studio, where she offers workshops to those who want to pursue artistic endeavors.
“I wanted to bring the art community as a whole in Billings together,” said Megan Begger, the Owner and Operator of Octopus Ink in Billings. “I love seeing what other artists create and share their story too.”
In addition to presenting the paintings created by other local artists in her studio, Begger conducts painting workshops for both children and adults.
While having always hoped to create her own studio, Begger claimed that several individuals had doubts about her ability to do it.
“I’m 23. I was 22 when I started. And a lot of people gave their opinions that I’m too young and not experienced enough,” said Begger.
“I just want people to feel able to try things out. You can make those decisions to put yourself out there to grow yourself. You don’t need anyone’s green flags to start chasing your dreams.”
This Wednesday, Octopus Ink will be honored for the support it has provided and will continue to provide for regional artists.
