Popular Downtown Billings restaurant announces temporary closure

Billings, Montana – The Sassy Biscuit announced its temporary closure due to a shortage of employee. The restaurant can’t meet the customers demand because there’s not enough staff members, according to owner of The Sassy Biscuit Jilian Hall- Johnson.
“The main priority is making sure that the guest experience is superb. If we weren’t able to deliver that then it was time to close our door,” Johnson said.
The restaurant daily sees from 200 to 700 guests and the current staff is starting to feel tired and overworked.
“They are feeling overworked, and they just need us, they just need assistance. We have definitely seen a decline in applicants, in fact we have had job postings for both back and front of the house for a couple of months now. New applicants just aren’t coming through,” Johnson said.
In order to attract workers to the restaurant, Johnson added new incentives and reevaluated wages.
The restaurant will reopen in the following week.
