Teen driver injured, two 5-year-old passengers dead following a crash near Shepherd

Billings, Montana – An accident that occurred on Friday afternoon near Shepherd left two children aged 5 years old dead and a 13-year-old injured in hospital.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP), a 2019 Kawasaki ATV that was being driven by a 13-year-old drove in front of a 2018 Subaru Legacy that was traveling westbound on Shepherd Acton Rd.
The Kawasaki spun around and ended up in an irrigation ditch as a result of the collision with the Subaru.
On Shepherd Acton Rd., the Subaru eventually came to a stop.
The 13-year-old driver of the ATV sustained injuries that required hospitalization, while the two 5-year-old passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 18-year-old driver of the Subaru also suffered injuries in the accident.
