This summer, the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary will hold a demonstration to help recreational users become more bear conscious

Red Lodge, Montana – This summer, the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary will be holding a demonstration to raise awareness among recreationists about the possibility of seeing bears.
On May 27, at 11:00 in the morning, there will be a Bear Awareness Day hosted at the refuge in Red Lodge. The event will take place in the bear enclosure.
According to Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, the majority of human-bear disputes are caused by bears attempting to protect their young or a food supply, and it is much simpler to avoid a conflict than to resolve one once it has occurred.
Anyone who is going to be in an area frequented by bears is strongly encouraged to carry bear spray, and training on how to use bear spray will be a part of the demonstration.
