Two pelicans killed on Jefferson River, FWP looking for information

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks wardens are looking for information about a case where two pelicans were discovered illegally shot and killed on the Jefferson River.
According to Montana’s Fish, Wildlife & Parks facebook post, it appears that the pelicans were shot between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. They were found about a mile upstream from the Lewis’s & Clark Caverns State Park entrance near the Limespur Fishing Access Site.
Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call the FWP violation reporting hotline at 1-800-TIP-MONT.
Callers with valuable information can get $1,000 reward.
