Two state parks closed due to Elmo 2 Fire

Kalispell, Montana – Both Lake Mary Ronan State Park and Big Arm State Park are now off-limits as a precautionary measure due to the Elmo 2 Fire.
An evacuation order has been issued for some areas of Montana Highway 28 and Lake Mary Ronan Road in the Elmo region, according to the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks (FWP) website.
According to FWP, campers at Lake Mary Ronan State Park and Big Arm State Park have been evacuated, and the parks will remain closed until further notice.
The Linderman School in Polson is serving as the location of a shelter that is being run by the Red Cross of Montana for those who were forced to evacuate. People may also place service requests by calling 800-272-6668.
