“Vet Connect” event hosted by Veterans Navigation Network at VFW Post 6674

Billings, Montana – Every other month, the Veterans Navigation Network will offer “Vet Connect” programs to assist veterans in the Billings region in connecting with resources that may be necessary to support their return from duty.
A gathering of this kind took place in Billings Heights’ VFW Post 6674 on Saturday.
“When veterans get out of military service, they often lose that sense of comradery,” said Blake Fuhriman, Chairman of VNN.
“You often move to a different state, and you’re not next to the person who you bled and sweat and cried with over the last years of your service.”
Several neighborhood organizations came together to prepare and serve meals for the veterans in the area and to provide an opportunity to learn about available resources for them.
“If they can connect with us or other vets in the community, they’re going to find out what resources are out there to support them,” explained Fuhriman.
Veterans Navigation Network has more details about the organization.
