Billings is the place to visit if you look for a summer job

Billings, Montana – WalletHub listed Billings as the fourth best area to find a summer job in 2021. Missoula was placed eleventh.

Chad Beachy, owner of Montana Shed Builders, stated that business is good right now. They were understaffed in March and April, making it difficult to keep up with demand.

“You end up working a lot of hours. As the owner/manager, you work a lot of hours. It’s easy to burn guys out because they work more hours than they want to. And, you’re just stretched really thin,” Beachy says.

According to Xiaoyi Wang of Job Service in Billings, Montana unemployment was 3.71 percent in April 2021, which is returning to pre-pandemic levels.

Many companies are looking to employ teenagers who need summer jobs. According to the Wall Street Journal, Northern Mountain States like Montana have three available positions for every jobless person.
