Crack in the Billings water main closes Rimrock Road on Tuesday morning

Billings, Montana – The section of Rimrock Road between Arvin Road and McCormick Lane was closed Tuesday morning due to a burst water main.

While on the scene, City Utility Services is attempting to fix the problem.

According to the police, the damage has created a sizable sinkhole, and the freezing of the surrounding water has made driving conditions worse.

The outflow of water from the ruptured pipe has stopped. It’s unclear if the houses nearby have been impacted.
