Driver killed in single vehicle crash on I-90

Bozeman, Montana – A semi-truck driver was killed Friday when he went off the I-90 bridge east of Bozeman and into a ditch on Fort Ellis Road below.
The driver, a 57-year-old man from Paris, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
He was driving west on Interstate 90, a few miles east of the Main Street exit, when he lost control of his vehicle and went into the center median, killing himself. According to the highway patrol, it is believed that he traveled in between the bridge decks, struck an embankment, and came to a halt on Fort Ellis Road, which runs under the interstate.
According to Trooper Jeffrey Clinton’s report, the road was slippery from recent rain and light snow.
The driver, who was the only occupant of his Volvo truck, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
