HRDC holds an event called “Shelter Saturdays” to raise money for a warming center

Billings, Montana – Many people who are in need of a warm place to rest their head in the midst of the bitter cold visit the HRDC’s warming center.
Similar to many locations in the valley, the HRDC depends on its employees and funds to offer services all year round.
“What we have traditionally done, has done this big push to raising funds in the winter, but now we have to do it year-round,” Cat Cramer, the fundraising coordinator for the HRDC said.
Weekend events like “Shelter Saturdays” are a part of that fundraising.
“We have a ton of volunteer opportunities, this Saturday we have our shelter Saturday, where people can stand on the corner with signs and raise money for our emergency shelter,” Cramer said.
The HRDC website lists staffing, volunteer opportunities, and events.
