Lame Deer man gets a prison term for sexually abusing children

Billings, Montana – According to U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich, a Lame Deer man who admitted to sexually abusing a young boy on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation was sentenced today to 22 months in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release.
In March, 51-year-old Loy Matthew Bryant admitted to sexually abusing a child.
Susan P. Watters, a federal district judge.
According to court filings, the victim, John Doe, who was between the ages of 12 and 16, was sexually assaulted by Bryant over a period of time.
Bryant began assaulting John Doe sexually when he was about the sixth grade, according to John Doe, age 17, who came forward in September 2022. When questioned by law police, Bryant acknowledged abusing the victim sexually.
The case was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The probe was done by the FBI.
