Large crowds attend Kalispell’s annual try hockey for free day

Kalispell, Montana – Keeping kids moving is more crucial than ever, especially during the snowy season when there are few things to do.
Kids may try hockey for free thanks to the Flathead Valley Hockey Association.
The association hosts a Try Hockey for Free Day once a year so that kids between the ages of 4 and 14 can test out hockey to see if they would be interested in playing it.
Kids of all skill levels can get equipment, and coaches and seasoned players are present on the ice to assist with instruction.
They ran out of equipment to loan out because this year’s participation was the highest ever.
To get all the children who want to try out on the ice, the Flathead Valley Hockey Association will attempt to organize another event.
“Oh my gosh, this is literally the best thing. I love it. I come out here, and I just look and smile because I love seeing these little kids. When I started coaching I started coaching this little age group is called mites and it was my favorite. There’s nothing more fun than watching these kids have fun out here on the ice,” said Jessica Crofts, Flathead Hockey Association President.
For further information, interested parties should visit the Flathead Flames website. Additionally, they distribute flyers at nearby schools to advertise the event.
