Mandatory evacuations issued due to a wildfire in Finley Point

Finley Point, Montana – Mandatory evacuations have been issued due to a wildfire near Polson.
Skidoo Lane, Finley Point, mile marker 6 and mile marker 12 on Montana Highway 35 are covered in the mandatory evacuations.
According to the Montana Department of Transportation, Highway 35 between Polson and Yellow Bay will remain closed.
The Boulder fire was pushed by winds from mile marker 10 on Highway 35 towards Flathead Lake.
Authorities are informing everyone south of mile marker 6 on Highway 35 to be prepared for possible evacuations also.
