Montana Women’s Prison inmate found unconscious in cell, dies later in hospital

Billings, Montana – Montana Women’s Prison inmate died at a Billings hospital on Sunday.

The 50-year-old prisoner, Lisa Anne Nester, was found unconscious around 11 a.m. on Monday in her cell and was transferred to a local hospital.

According to a Montana Department of Corrections press release, Nester escaped from the prison recently, but was captured again after a short time.

There is an open investigation for Nester’s death and no additional information was provided.
