Report of an earthquake in Carbon County

Carbon County, Montana – On Friday, July 21, 2023, a 3.2-magnitude earthquake was felt close to Edgar, rocking a number of residences and establishments.
According to the website of the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at 1:57 pm, with Edgar’s epicenter three miles to its north-northwest.
Before verifying the earthquake, the Carbon County Sheriff’s office stated on social media that it had gotten numerous calls of a “large explosion” in the county’s northern part.
According to several comments on the page, it was felt as far south as Bridger and as far north as Park City.
At this moment, there are no reports of serious damage.
