Billings, Montana – 60 percent increase from 2020 is expected in travel for this Memorial Day Weekend.

AAA expect more than 37 million people to travel more than 50 miles away from home.

Billings Logan International Airport officials expect few thousand people to board on planes over the next couple of days on their airport.

Kevin Ploehn, Director of Aviation and Transit, notes that May screening numbers are around 80% of what they were in 2019.

While the holiday weekend is still in its early stages, the busiest day of travel in Billings is likely to be Monday. Ploehn estimates that around 1,500 passengers will board flights at the Magic City.
