Billings Police Department arrested the suspect on scene without incident

Billings, Montana – Due to a barricaded subject on the 800 block of Lewis Avenue, Billings Police and the SWAT team were called to the location early on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the location, according to Sgt. Jeff Stovall, following an allegation of a weapon-assisted assault. All occupants of the house were able to leave when police arrived, except the suspect.
The suspect refused to leave the house and stayed inside.
Police were able to safely remove the suspect from the house around two hours later. According to Stovall, the inquiry is still going on.
Thanking the public and emergency agencies for avoiding the active situation, Stovall expressed gratitude.
