Ex-police chief charged with distributing child porn

Helena, Montana – After being accused of distributing child pornography via Facebook Messenger, a former East Helena police chief made an appearance in court.

The ex-police chief, William Daly Harrington, shared a sexually explicit image of a 10-year-old girl through his Facebook account. The further investigation showed that Harrington owned several sexually explicit photos of minors.

On Tuesday, Harrington was taken into custody. Harrington was arrested and held into custody until a detention hearing on Wednesday.

His attorney refused to give an interview.
